Dave Green, Master Barber
David is an Atlanta native and spent eight years in the US Navy bands - every girl's father's worst nightmare.... both musician AND sailor! He has been cutting hair for five years and is currently pursuing his Barber Instructor License with plans to open a Barbering school in 2026.
When he is not cutting hair, David is either training new barbers, trying out restaurants and bars, or is at Atlanta United matches down at the end with all the rowdier fans waving flags, throwing beers at each other, and shouting F-bombs in unison.
(Pro tip: you can bribe him with caffeine, especially a good espresso martini).
Shawn Taylor, Barber/Stylist
Shawn is great with all styles and hair types. “If you’re looking for a great cut and experience, come see me. You won’t be disappointed.”
David Alexander, Founder/Barber
David is one of the original founders of American Haircuts and has been cutting men’s hair for over three decades. He has served as director of operations and training for a national chain of barbershops and his work has appeared in Modern Salon, and American Salon. David’s specialties are traditional barbering combined with modern techniques. David is also a successful actor and has appeared on numerous television shows, including Ozark, NCIS: New Orleans, Dopesick, and The Righteous Gemstones.
Ashley Culpepper, Master Barber
Ashley has been a Master Barber for almost a decade. She can handle everything you can throw at her and is a specialist in all hair types. Come see her for a great cut and outstanding service!
Josh Hudson, Master Barber/VP
The Reverend Joshua T. Hudson loved American Haircuts so much, he went to barber school and came to work for us! He gets this whole American Haircuts thing and will give you an amazing cut and a hard time on top of it. Josh also serves as our Regional Director of Personnel.
Note: Josh cuts hair at all locations, so if you can’t find a spot with him here, check our other shops nearby.
Dan Wenzel, Assistant Manager
Dan “With the Good Hair” Wenzel serves as our Assistant Manager in Brookhaven and Midtown. As you can tell from the snazzy headshot, this handsome devil is also an actor, so you’ll see him pop up on your television or on the stage from time to time. Dan hails from Chicago, so he might offer you a “pop” when you come in (that’s what we call Coke here in the south). He is also slightly obsessed with WWE, so he may hit you in the back with a folding chair once in awhile, but it’s all in good fun.
Oyle Harrison, General Manager
Kickball aficionado Oyle Harrison (AKA shop daddy) is new to the barbershop world, which he plans to take by storm before his 50th birthday. A longtime Atlanta resident, Oyle is also the co-founder of a local LGBT social group.
