American Haircuts has an immediate opening for a shop manager in our midtown, Atlanta location.   Barbershop/Salon reception or management experience is preferred but not required.

MUST LIVE WITHIN 30 MINUTES OF THE LOCATION (10TH AND WEST PEACHTREE IN MIDTOWN, ATLANTA) AND MUST BE EXTREMELY DEPENDABLE.

Compensation: 

Compensation for the position of General Manager starts at $26,000 per year with a semi-annual bonus of .004% of the gross revenue of the shop (paid on the first payroll of July and the first payroll of January) for a five-day work week. You will also receive commission of 10% on all products you sell. We offer paid vacations per the following schedule: one week after one year, two weeks after two years, and three weeks after five years of service. Managers are also entitled to three paid sick days per year. Managers may also accept tips from barbers, but the amount and frequency of those tips is at the discretion of the barbers (normally an additional $8,000 - $10,000 per year.  Total estimated compensation is $38,000 - $42,000 per year).  Raises will be determined annually based on performance and additional compensation may be provided at the company’s discretion. 

Responsibilities:
The General Manager is responsible for most of the day-to-day operations of the shop, including (but not limited to) opening and closing the store, greeting clients and scheduling appointments, staff scheduling, light cleaning and clerical duties, coordinating product and supply orders with the company, ensuring cleanliness of the facility, and ensuring the standards of American Haircuts are maintained at all times. While a General Manager is not required to be a barber, the position requires basic knowledge of what constitutes a quality haircut and customer experience. The General Manager will communicate frequently with the Lead Barber on technical quality and inform the company when training or discipline are required. The General Manager is also required to have a basic knowledge of the retail lines we carry in the shops. The company will provide the necessary training required to successfully complete your duties as General Manager of the American Haircuts store.
