American Haircuts Barbershop was started in 2005 by two old friends, who just happen to be gay, because we wanted to bring back the American Barbershop Experience and make it even better than before. Our goal was to create a space that is truly inclusive and welcoming for everyone. That’s why we have a zero-tolerance policy for hate, in any form, in all of our shops. At American Haircuts Barbershop, all are welcome because we firmly believe that our diversity is what makes us stronger.

At American Haircuts® Barbershop, we believe you have the right to look good, and we're here for you! Great haircuts, hot shaves, and a good time without all of the pretentious attitude you get in some of these other places. If that's what you think a great American Barbershop should be, we've got you covered at American Haircuts® Barbershop..

So friends, sit down and hang on… you're in for an experience that'll make you glad you found us. We're The New American Barbershop® — just like the one your dad used to take you to, only nicer (and cleaner). We'll likely bust your chops a bit (okay, a lot), and sometimes a few of our barbers might let an expletive fly, but it's all in good fun. So leave your sensitivity at the door. We don't serve "craft cocktails," but we've got a shot of whiskey, a cold beer in the fridge, or maybe a couple of Yoohoos, so please help yourself.

What we do promise you is a kick-ass haircut served up by people who care about getting it right. American Haircuts® Barbershop is a small local group of shops owned barbers, right here in metro Atlanta and not some crappy corporate chain or barbershop hybrid "concept." Yeah, we may look like a big chain because we have a fancy logo, website, and app, but that's because one of our owners is a whiz at graphic design. We can be over the top at times and most undoubtedly irreverent most of the time. Still, we're real people who believe in great haircuts and solid service. We'll treat you like the friend you are to us.

Why we chose the name ‘American Haircuts® Barbershop’

When we set out to open our first barbershop in 2005, we asked ourselves what would be a good name to represent our company. We believed, and still do, that America is a country made stronger by its diversity. We are a country people come to create a better life in freedom and safety. We acknowledge we still have much work to do, but we’re proud of how far we have come. That is why we chose to call ourselves American Haircuts® Barbershop, and we apply our belief in the hope of America to the way we do business.

Our company is made up of humans from all walks of life. Straight, gay, transgender, non-binary, black, white, Asian, Hispanic, and almost everything in between. We may not always agree, but you are welcome here if you come to our shops with a loving heart and open mind.
